    Does HL2: Episode 2 support DX10?

    Really? Hmm I didnt hear anything about it being a DX10 game. From my experience with DX10 so far tho, its little or no benifit with image quality for about a 50% performance kill. So lets see if this is different.

    I don't recall this title being a DX10 based game. I heard that it utilized certain special abilities found in DX10 hardware, but not DX10 as an API. In other words, it would utilize DX10 hardware to create effects regardless of actual DX version. Essentially, this makes it a DX9 game.

    Anyone with a credible source want to clear this up?

    It takes forever for a Steam game to run for the first time...anyways, DX9 only, though it did "recommend" medium textures for my laptop - a sign of good graphics.
