Although I have no direct comparison, I would have to say yes simply based on features alone. The GeForce 4 is a Direct X 8 part while the X1400 is Direct X 9. I also believe the X1400 has higher clock speeds and memory bandwidth than the GeForce 4.

The X1400 is light years ahead of the Geforce 4 - there is no comparison whatsoever. The Geforce 4 is 2 generations old.

Although the Geforce 4 series was very powerful a few years ago, it is quite outdated today.

I think you'll really se a big diference between the x1400 and the geforce 4. The geforce 4 is just to old, and a jump form direct x8 to a direct x 9 will meke you see the diference.

Going from GeForce 4 to a x1400 will be one of those  moments. It'll be stunning!

Definitely. Almost as big as my going from a 32MB MR7500 to the Quadro 1500M. Even your old games will look amazingly better.

Well, not quite that bad in fairness!

I used to play Far Cry on my Geforce 4 - it looked reasonably ok. :D

Yeah the X1400 will be a huge jump for you. Its equal to the Geforce 7400, so its like going from a geforce 4 to a geforce 7400, big big step up in power.
