I would like to pre-order the 680m as soon as I can. If anyone knows a good place to do so, please let me know.

also, what would I be expecting to pay? I know it is going to be around $700 or more, but I would like to know the average price.

Most places won't sell the card alone until they test it, so generally you won't get a pre-order. Once resellers start getting cards they will test them and start taking orders, then they repackage the cards into the individual boxes and ship maybe a week later.

you are going to have to wait till August at the earliest, unless one of the retailers is willing to sell you a card without the laptop.

Supply is very tight right now, and most people that have the cards are putting them in systems. It will probably be August before i get one...at least this is what i was told, and by then, we are getting really close to the amd refresh

I thought I should just chime in and tell you guys that Rabook is shipping out higher clocked 680M than what we have seen so far.

Probably because the 680M is running so cool and drawing so little power with the usual 720MHz so they have headroom there.
And 680M do not have any GPU boost as previously thought
