I love star wars with a passion, I love gaming with a passion, I love star trek with a passion. I think its cool to overclock, I think it's cool to tweak games and files, I love technology. "It's my life"
when I was just a kid it was not cool, do you think times have changed?

I fail to see why something/someone that is 'nerdy' cannot also be 'cool' - but then I'm also a self-described geek's-geek who once ran a Mind's Eye Theater LARP for over a year and regularly plays/runs tabletop (in addition to playing/modding games and more 'conventional' activities). That said, I'm not fat/full of pimples, not a virgin, I've got a plenty of friends -and, no, they're not all sweaty, unwashed guys-, don't live in the basement, have a social life, etc. - then again, I also guest DJ at the local goth club so I might not be the sort of 'cool' you're going for.
EDIT:
Not caring about what other people think is cool or not really helps, particularly if you can find a group of people who share your mindset. -
And you're still sane and have your health.

Odds are good that if you have more than 5 or 6 posts on here, all of them looking for help in solving an issue with your computer, you're a nerd..........who gives a what anyone else thinks???
Now, I'm off to play some more MechWarrior, SWTOR, Skyrim or Star Trek Oniline (if I can ever get it patched on this lousy connection out here) so dueces............. -
The new cool is just being yourself.
But i think this belongs to the off topic thread.

Does star trek, star wars and gaming make you a nerd poll
