no, it doesn't as far as i know
the problem with the heat in dv5t notebooks is solved by raising the notebook a few inches from the desk youre keeping it on
the temps will decrease with aprox 10 degrees
you should also undervolt your cpu, it greatly reduced my overall temps in the laptop, since the cpu heat also leads to the gpu in it's design
under heavy load (aprox 5-6 hours of intense gameplay), i get max 64 degress on the cpu and 70-71 on the gpu, never above 71 no matter how much i stress it
that's pretty decent values, so you should give it a try

    here's the undervolting guide : http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=235824
did you overclock your GPU btw?

hey lvnatic. I have my notebook raised 8 inches off the ground with my lego :) self built stand and as u can see in my sig, i also UC'ed my cpu. I even have a small fan blowing at my lappy when gaming. eg, crysis, fallout 3, bad company 2, i get about 75degs cpu and 65degs gpu

lol those temps are quite good.. i get 70-78C CPU and 70-77 GPU under load with notebook cooling fan , UV CPU... if u want to drop temps more , try the below riva tuner tweak.. it undervolts GPU in a way so i can OC GPU... that's why maybe my temps are a little high...

yeah well, my bios is F.05B so OC'ing is not supported and i don't really feel like updating or backdating my bios. For me, cooling fans are stupid, Get a huge industrial fan blowing at the back of your lappy, cooling pads are like babies compared to it

Just got finished playing L4D2 on my DV5. With a cooler and undervolted CPU, with the game on ALL high setting my max CPU temp was 65 for both cores and the GPU was at 71. If I don't use a cooler and just have some plastic bottle caps in the back, the only difference is the CPU can go up to about 70 for both cores.
