I got a compaq V3000 laptop with Celeron 1866 MHZ, 512 DDR2 ram and x3100. I also got a Benq laptop with 1,66 GHz celeron and 1024 DDR2 ram and a GMA 945.
As you see the Compaq has better specs except for the RAM which is very low (512)
The Benq gets however almost twice as much acore pints in 3DMark 2001. Benq gets 4000 while Compaq gets 2600. In 3DMark06 i have not tested the Benq but the Compaq with X3100 gets about 80 points or something, all tests runs on 0,5 to 1 FPS.
Why am i getting so crappy scores on the compaq i seen others with the X3100 get over 600!
Why does my Benq with GMA 945 and a lower processor perform better than my Compaq with a better processor and a X3100?
Is it because the Ram is to low in my Compaq or is it simply because the X3100 sucks or is something wrong with my laptop?
P.S Both machines used WIN XP PRO 32 bit and have the latest grapahic divers installed
Thanks for answers

So anyone have any tip what i should do here or what might be wrong? does the GMA 945 really own X3100 that much?

Maybe the one with the x3100 has more programs running slowing it down? Not sure..google x3100 vs gma 945 and see if you get anything. It could also be the ram, not sure.

Well 512 ram v 1gb ram. Let me tell you, 1gb ram makes a huge difference compared to 512mb. I think it could just be the ram itself.

i dont think the other one have any more programs running, my compaq has right now 44 processes running and 450M/1225M commit charge. Not exactly sure if that is good or not though.
Does the latest drivers for X3100 Suck?
