    Please to everyone.I have a Gateway NV Series,2.1GHz,256mb dedicated video memory and want to buy a new video card,the nvidia geforce gt 240 but dont know the right one for laptop since i've been searching for it on ebay.They all look the same but I dont know whether they are for laptops since they look bigger.If anyone finds a site to buy online can you please post it here,please.Thank You

    Correct. GPU's only are upgradeable if you buy a machine with an MXM GPU, and those are typically higher end expensive gaming or worstation models (usually $1500+). Otherwise it's soldered to the motherboard and can't be upgraded.

    those ViDocks add more playability to low end machines, but i'm not sure if the scaling works well enough to get beyond the hassle.

    and don't buy a notebook GPU - they're way too expensive.
