    or similar spec laptop?

    Anyone getting this to run out of the box? I've heard it will, but it would be nice to get confirmation.

    I have the exact system you do, same componets just compaq version. I can run Doom 3 well on my system it runs on Med. settings. The game looks good too, when I play online though I think the performance drops slightly. Also if you have unreal 2004 you should try it out with this machine it looks really really good! Runs perfict! If you have a questions about the system let me know

    Yes it should, just do any software updates you need from HP as far as drivers. I think you will have the newest out though. I didn't have to do anything go get mine to work, I just installed the game and played.
