    Doom III is opengl right?

    Hi, just wondering, Doom III uses opengl from what i have read, does this mean it would run faster on the workstation cards that were released around the same time as the game was released?

    my mobility radeon 9600 struggled to run it smoothly at high settings. wondering if the workstation equivalent would have had better performance.

    Usually the equivalent workstation cards are clocked lower, so I don't think they would have better performance.

    I guess too it's OpenGL. I played it in OpenCoop with my Mobility Radeon 9700. I had ~25+ fps, sometimes slower, it depends. I had to deactivate shadows (most important!) and probably medium settings only. Well these cards are getting old anyways...

    not nowadays right? my quadro FX770m seems to perform the same as the 9600gt's

    i guess this card can demolish doom III lol
