Doom eternal @ 1K fps and free Hitman

Found an interesting article about some guys who managed to crack 1000 fps in Doom Eternal

And if you haven't heard yet, Hitman (all season 1 content) is free at Epic Game Store until Sept. 3

 

"As part of QuakeCon, game publisher Bethesda and the Polish overclocking team 'X-Kom' came together to achieve the goal of 1000 fps, which required extreme overclocking with liquid nitrogen (LN2)"

Cool but no matter how I look at this, it just seems like a waste of resources and time for a goal which means nothing useful to literally anyone. It's like comparing imaginary sticks and the bigger one makes it in the news. I just said sticks so I don't give extra work to the mods

 

You've never been to QuakeCon I gather...

Sadly, it mattered to them in that space of time so your hedged statement doesnt seem very accurate.

 

Lol 1000 fps...good luck noticing it..overkill but still that's impressive
