Ok guys, so i have a road trip in like 10 days and i was wondering if downclocking my GPU by ...say 100 mhz of its usual clock will let me fork out an extra 30min to 1 hr of battery life.
I tend to get board on the road so i want to bring my little companion and watch movies on it..
is this a good idea? or will the pictures look ugly

Powermizer does that by default. But if you must, you can downclock to the lowest possible, pics will still look fine, movies too,and also consider Undervolting the CPU for even more battery life.

Thanks! does undervolting have any disadvantages besides BSOD? cuz everyone SHOULD do it then..right?

Movies might become choppy, I remember than when I put my 8600 to the minimum clock possible the display slowed to a crawl, mouse movement were jittery... If you want to downclock go ahead but don't go to low. If you're travelling in a car why don't you get those converters that you plug in 12v outlets?

I set my battery speed as I want too, if I`m just browsing, 600Mhz is sufficient ,since it`s dual core...
One of these days I really have to do a battery test to see just how much I`ve gained.
