I downloaded the "common" and "pc" folders (4.42GB compressed) with the new textures in them, as well as the Realizm 6.2 mod integrated, so to my understanding, with file mods, i can just replace the stock "common" and "pc" folders with the new ones without the need for a patch right? Apparently wrong, the game never starts up with the new folders, so i used Magic Patcher and of course replaced the "filelist.pak" file and backed up the originals with the batch file included with the magic patcher .rar archive. Despite this the game still does not start up with the new folders, it seems to launch, but never i get to the intro screens, it just exits out and the "This program has stopped working..." dialog box appears, it appeared to be tied to DirectX or specifically the "dxdiagn.dll" file, seems to be responsible for crashing it, how can i make this mod work? I really want this.

For the Realizm IV 6.2 Mod, follow the instructions listed in the link in my sig regarding GTA IV modding. There is no reason to use any patches but most likely it is not working correctly because of an incorrect version of filecheck fix or scripthook. I run Realizm IV 6.2 Mod on version 1.0.04. You need different core files depending on what version you are running.
