Anyone achieved to get downsampling working with an AMD GPU?

Right now i have an Alienware M17x R4 and i tried CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) . But after i change Resolution to anything higher than 1920x1080 the screen goes black for like 15 seconds and then goes back to the 1920x1080 resolution.
Would realy love to have downsampling working on Games like Dota2 and Torchlight 2.

I asked on the Alienware Owners Lounge, but i didnt find a solution.
I know that Downsampling is possible with a Nvidia card. An other User is using an Alienware M17x R3 and a 670mx and it works fine.

Supersampling is in Catalyst Control Center under Gaming>3D Application Settings.

Downsampling and supersampling are two very different things.

What are you talking about? They're used interchangeably to describe the same thing. 1080p with 2x supersampling is internally rendered at 4K before downsampling back to 1080p. One of the most popular driver-forced downsampling techniques is called SGSSAA (sparse grid supersampling anti-aliasing). Get the point?
