Yeah. Works fine for me. I can get 2560x1440 @ 60 Hz on my Y500 display. I believe you're out of luck if you have Optimus, which mine doesn't have.

I have a 780M with a 9380-s laptop. Do I have optimus? But before that, what is optimus and is it togglable?

Do you have an Intel integrated GPU and does the laptop automatically switch to that when it's idling or doing non-graphically demanding tasks? If so, you have Optimus.

No the 9380-s doesn't have Optimus. Actually all Clevo SLI laptops do not have Optimus. In fact the iGPU is cut off from the hardware front and the display traces are hardwired to the master GPU.

With that said, I tried to do the downsampling technique through the nvidia drivers and when I press [test], there's a black screen. What gives?

Read the instructions. Black screen means you've gone too far.

    I only did 2560x1440....

Even with doing 2000x1160 gives same results.

Try lowering refresh rate, otherwise too bad then, you're just unlucky.

You might want to try playing with the timings as a last resort. The other downsampling guides on the Internet, for example on Guru3D, get into that more.

Went down to 60 and then 59 already like the links say (default was 120). Didn't work. I am able to use GeDoSaTo but it only works in dx9 games but not all of them.
