i've got an envy 17 that uses amd graphics hardware.
i installed dragon age and noticed now i have nvidia physX installed ...
wondering if the game installer put it there .... (likely) and how this would work with my hardware ...
is the game performance impacted if i uninstalled it ?

physicx use the hardware less then 1% of the time 99% of the time it run on the cpu simply because the game is not built to make use of the hardware
the game use it as a physic engine it's part of the game if you uninstalll it the game will start whining or simply won't run you can how ever stop it's services so it don,t eat ram when you don't neeed it -
What granyte said. If you uninstall physx from your system, you can't start the game, it's required to run the game.

It's too bad the hacked version of PhysX for ATi cards didn't stay updated.
