This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Driver Install Issues

    I uninstalled the nvidia drivers on my new 1520 and downloaded new drivers from here: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14562 . I then dled the INF file and moved it into the folder. It asked me to replace the other file and I did. The install went correctly and finished. However, when I restarted, the new driver did not appear in the add/remove programs and I cannot bring up any games requiring graphics (even freecell) without getting a screen telling windows has to close. Please help. I've already read the faqs on installing drivers on this site and on laptop2go. Please use small words and many steps :p .

    Edit: used a different driver from same site and seems to run fine
