What's the latest driver that would work best for my 8600m GT? I am currently using 175.97 and for some reason, my FPS would cut in half randomly, or when I wake my computer up from sleep mode, forcing me to restart my computer.

It's either that, or my computer doesn't wake up at all from Sleep Mode.

    I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1520.

Just go to the Nvidia site and get the latest WHQL driver. That is the simplest thing to do. They release drivers pretty regularly now, and the 8600M is an old card so the drivers are very mature.

186.81 was just released a couple days ago by Nvidia for 8600M GT (and other cards). Just go to Nvidia and get it there.

I just installed that, and my fps dropped at least 5-10. I installed 186.82 hoping it was just a driver install failure, but same deal. Thanks though, I was hoping this was better. It did however fix my random FPS drop.

I'll go for the 190.57 next.
