I have a ASUS F3SV-A1 notebook with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS video card. I tried to install a windows vista 32 bit driver from Nvidia.com, but it said that i do not have the windows vista 32 bit. I then tried to install a driver from laptopvideo2go.com but it also said that i do not have the windows vista 32 bit. When i go to Control Panel>System and Maintenance>System it says that I have the windows vista home Premium and then lower down it says System type: "32-bit Operating System". How can i download a driver that will work?

First off, you can't use the drivers from the nvidia site straight away as they don't contain the proper INF file to recognize your laptop gpu. When using the drivers from laptopvideo2go, you must follow these installation instructions: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11997

The cleanest method I've found is to uninstall the stock driver directly from Device Manager and let the computer reboot with the native Microsoft video driver. From there, follow the instructions given from the link to install modded driver and open Device Manager when complete to verify that the specified driver has installed.

You must set Windows Update to "hide" any graphic driver updates it finds, or it will simply keep trying to reinstall an "official" driver if Automatic Updates is selected.
