    Hi, IM Thinking of Getting The Toshiba X205 and was wondering which GPU Config To go for... does anyone have any suggestions with relevant Facts :)

    ok did you not understand he is looking at the x205? you can get it with either dual 8600gt's or one 8700gt.

    I'd get the 8700M GT because:

    1. Not many games support SLI.
    2. Heat
    3. Nvidia SLI drivers are a pain in the butt for desktops already, just think about notebooks...

    yes that may be the case now but think of the future, two cards will most deff be better than one, those two cards consume 44 watts together, the same as one 7950gtx.

    I would personally go with the two cards. The Toshiba X205 has an excellent thermal system so it should be fine with the extra heat. I would image the battery life with a single 8700M-GT would be better but anyone buying a gaming mahine is probably not going for the best battery life.
