-edit* oh wait what???? this is new did np9262 just take the 9800M GT and 9800M GT in sli options off of thier customize page??? or am i just reading this wrong / computer not loadin this???

I agree the SLI will be the better score at this level. I believe the GTX with 1GB of VRAM is said to be a marketing ploy due to the card's specifications, but look around the the forums for a more in-depth discussion of both the sli and the 1GB VRAM

only GTX in SLI is available for now, which isnt a bad thing cause they re faster but they do cost more.

Couldn't you purchase it with a single GT, and buy the necessary components and an additional GT to do this?

neither GT nor GT in sli is offered only GTX and GTX in sli... im prob gonna get GTX and then save up for a bit before i can afford to get GTX in sli and upgrade myself... oh heres and idea

do u think it would be cheaper if i bought another GTX further down the road and found someone who was able to put it together with my existing GTX I am going to get with the computer and then install that as an SLI or is that just plain crazy talk?

Yeah but it isnt an option for the Np9262 so i would have to buy a 9800M GTX and then buy the 9800M GT in SLI and unless there is a way to get the Np9262 without a graphics card...

yes it is an option at other good Clevo vendors.

such as the other two large Clevo importer OEMs:
    - www.eurocom.com (Canada-based, but price matches)
.... and their resellers in the Clevo Guide

have you even read the Clevo Guide yet?

    it would answer your questions.

Clevo is the ODM, Sager is an OEM that imports it and brands it with a Sager model number.

you cannot go up to the Sager or Pro-Star HQs (both of which are in the City of Industry) to look at notebooks, since they are not stores.

you can however order it and pick it up in person there if you want.

From a SLI user to you, if you are planning to keep the lappy for 1 year, then forget about SLI, since those cards are still brand new, even after a year, you will still have problems with games (you will not see anymore than 50% increase) if you are planning to keep for 2-3 years, SLI is the way to go, my performance is increasing with each driver that comes out right now, and i'm plenty happy :D

Yeah I feel the same brainer, although my 8800m GTX SLI is not old at all. But SLI puts confidence in my that my lappie will last me much longer than if I had a single GPU.

9800m GTX doesn´t stand a squat performance wise against two 9800m GT.

hey do you ever use it on your lap? i mean is it too heavy to just use on your lap on your bed? my gateway weighs about 9lbs i think and its fine but yours weighs about 15lbs right? im wondering if that would be too heavy to hold on your lap comfortably....amazing system though..how much did you pay for it?

do not use these notebooks (especially gaming notebooks) on your laps or any other soft surfaces (like beds, couches, etc...).

you will block the vents and fans on the bottom from getting airflow to cool down the system.

if you want to use notebooks on your laps, you better use it on a hard, clean, flat surface..... from a cheap wooden board to a LapDesk-esque accessory.

i don't use it in my lap, but it's just like resting a thick book in your lap.
and it weighs about that much.
    about 3500.00 total
