How would these two options stack up against one another for gaming? I would have a P9400(2.53 Ghz Core 2 Duo), 4gb Ram, running Vista Ultimate 32 or 64 maybe. I have been through countless threads but cannot seem to find a whole lot of info on the 3870s nor benchmark tests.

    A single NVidia 9800 GT 512 DDR3

    Vs.

Built-in Dual ATI Mobile Radeon HD3870 512MB DDR2 Video with CrossFireX Technology

    Thanks

    1. What notebook is this first of all?
    2. The 3870's will probably be similar to the desktop version of the cards. I wonder why they would be using crappy DDR2 on the 3870s though, unless its a typographical error. They are most likely a lot faster together than a single 9800M GT, and they are probably not going to burn out like that NVIDIA card might (it could possibly be defective, since NVIDIA is trying to save face by not telling anybody anything).

    I don't think HD3870 use DDR2 for memory chips.because it's hi end chip.

Just going off of what the CyberPowerPC website says in configuration.

Assuming that CyberPower PC is wrong, and it is DDR3- how would my question be answered? I would imagine even if a single 3870 trails a 9800 a good amount that two 3870s should outperform a 9800, but I can find hard evidence of this.

Two 3870's will surely outperform one 9800M GT in most scenarios.
