    Do you think companies like Monolith and Dice will ever come out with dual core patches for BF2 or F.E.A.R.? I've seen reviews for games like Quake 4and CoD 2 where dual core optimization really helped perfomance of the game.......

    I doubt it. Adapting a game/application for multi threaded operation is a major task... Quake 4 and CoD 2 were implemented for multi core support due to the port for xbox 360.

    a dual core patch is HUGE..you would have to rewrite most of the game, to allow the other core to be effective to render AI..or something like that...i think they will come out with more patches, as dual core starts becoming the standard.
