    Hi all,
    I was wondering if there is any way to connect two monitors to my laptop, but with the laptop being in the middle and has the primary display. Basically like this.

    [ ] [x] [ ]
    [x]=Laptop

    I know about the Matrox Products but i want something that will make Windows recognize 2 different monitors, not 2 monitors combined to show up as 1.

    I've also heard of some USB to VGA connectors but those only give about 16bits and i want a full 32bits :)

    Any help appreciated, thx

    Maybe look for some kind of express card to VGA adapter/docking station? If implemented well (ie not using USB), the Express Card interface should have ample bandwidth for 32bit displays.

    As far as I know, no notebook can have TWO external monitor outs, so I think that's impossible.

    It is possible to have an external monitor AND an active laptop monitor for two separate monitor outputs, but that's the best you'll get.

    And since you're not willing to use external parts to achieve this, I think you're out of luck :(.

    Maybe impossible to have it built in but not an impossible accomplishment. See my post above.

    Also, the Matrox products support both dual and triple screen outputs. The matrox products spits out one giant monitor output and then uses its hardware to split it between two or three monitors.

    The vtbook has the ability to spit out two physical monitor outputs but is resolution limited. However, with the vtbook, you can have as many as 6 active displays.

    That's just friggin ridiculous. I'd like to meet someone who has this just to ask them WHY? That's why I have a monster desktop setup and a laptop that just grabs files from it through the internet. Far far cheaper.
