judging from the images ,they must be betting more on the hype than on the graphics , but hell , it's Duke, and it's time for a comeback.
Pay close attention on 5:14 :D

"What the beep is taking so long?" I love their faces when this dude asks :p.

I doubt it will live up to Doom 3 or Crysis and it will have some ridiculous requirements :p.

Doesn't look exactly cutting edge, but the gameplay could be alot of fun.

The game will be a disappointment because of one simple reason: after 12 years of development and unsurpassed hype, the game will not be able to meet the huge expectations everybody has of it.

Oh I think it'll easily live up to Doom3, which was mostly hype, and then an hour of good looking gaming...repeated over and over with different locker monsters.

I doubt I'll have any trouble finishing a DukeNukem game.

What hype? Ya I heard something about it, but it was like 8 years ago... Haven't heard a thing since just now, so in my oppinion there has been no hype, so it might live up to it :) I look foreward to playing it one day.

Actually, by now, it will beat nearly all expectation just by being released.

    My predictions:

    1. Horrid, substandard shooter.
    2. Great graphics, insane requirements.
    3. Short, linear levels with 0 replay value.
    4. Nice selection of weapons.
    5. Poor selection of enemies.
    6. Terrible weapon damage - takes a bajillion shots to kill anything with the guns, enemies aren't even phased by a shotgun to the face, taking out much of the immersiveness from the game.

I might agree on #3, just because that is standard in basically all these kind of games. I don't understand why anyone wants to sit and develop a game under many years, and make everything completely linear and scripted. Games need variation, and there are enough simple things to use to achieve that if they just use their brains when they develop the game.

They lost their momentum. Hype long gone so only die hard fans will actually buy it. Why spend 60 euros on this when you can spend them on the new Crysis? ;).

THAT .... THAT took 12 years, what a load of ****.

As I heard in some other video, the only way that game can be good is if it brings along a cure for cancer and other diseases.

I think they are reluctant to release it. They need to raise awareness somehow :p :p

It's because he asks too specific of questions and puts words in the mouths of the people he interviews...

    "so what like wii tennis?"

"so you guys never read the forums"

Problem is, wasn't this game cancelled and set in limbo about three or four times for a year or two at a time? You can't say its been in development for 12 years when it's actually just been in limbo for 12 years. That's like Starcraft 2. It's been 10 years since the first Starcraft, and I'm sure it's been "in development" since the original Starcraft was finished, just in concept. It wasn't until now that they decide to finish it.

That being said, it doesn't look any more revolutionary than Half-Life 2. Hopefully it will at least be a fun game to play. I don't care what they do, they should tidy it up and release it. No matter what they do, it'll be highly criticized.

For a game resuming from the conceptual stage they could have done a better job with the visuals to keep up with the times.

Starcraft: Ghost was in beta for some time when Blizzard canned it, personally I think this game will only be finished if the developers decide to finish it, not something to bet on considering the ungodly amount of time it's been in stasis.
