Recently, I purchased Serious Sam: HD from Steam's Holiday Sale. After playing I had a wicked craving to play some old Duke Nukem. With a small purchase from GoG.com ($3.89), and a little google, I came across these mods.

These guys used a new engine for the game, and added high res textures and 3d models. Still looks cheap, but much improved from the original 1996 title. Also adds modern fps controls and mouse support. Works perfect with Vista x64 for me too. :)

To get started, here's what you need:

Duke Nukem 3D game 27mb via GoG.com (Good Old Games) great cheap site for classics, and 100% DRM free.
    $3.89 <strike>$5.99</strike> on sale until January 3rd ;)

Duke Nukem 3D: High Resolution Pack v4.0 401.5mb via Duke4.net

    Instructions link

If you played this game in its prime or never played it at all, I highly recommend giving it another go; I'm having a blast with it. :D

This is about as close to Duke Nukem Forever as it gets lol. Enjoy!

You don't have to have a lame phone like that to play it :p
Just kidding. But really my phone and any symbian S60 v3 can play it:

I imagine it would be quite hard with no real buttons to use.

Despite the fact iphone is known to have all the games/apps doesnt mean its the best. Infact the reason I have the "your favorite flash games" thread in off topic right now is because the N900 runs flash, the iphone does not. So that means the N900 has thousands of games more than the iphone :D

Great game, haven't played it in years. Might have to give this one a go. Viscious, that N900 looks pretty damn good. I'm starting to eye off the droid and N900, I love how much more you can do with them. The iPhone 3g, whilst nice, is quickly starting to bore me, too restrictive!

Hm time for to bust out that Quake 3 on my N97, lol.

Anyway, that is actually a nice mod! It doesn't have that blurry look that the regular version would have. I want to see someone Redo Duke Nukem...............with the source engine.
