When they ship the inferior Xbox 360 version what do they expect?
Only decent reviews i read has been from the PC version.

Why do they complaint, I mean i was seriously unimpressed by the game, don't know why they are pissed when they ship a game with meh gameplay and absolutely outdated graphics, even by console standards.

It's funny to see some sites like gamespot having tons of Duke Nukem ads on the front page, yet giving the game 3.0.

I remember when Jeff Gerstman, one of the site's reviewers, got fired for giving Kane and Lynch a 6....

I have no intentions of buying a crappy remake the developers hoped would sell on name and image alone rather than good, fun game mechanics.

When a PR company makes threats to try and ensure high ratings in reviews, that is generally a sign that the game is a turd.

That does suck. But I think Duke Nukem Forever is best for those with nostalgia for the original. Like a lot of game sequels are. I don't think it's very original, and kind of a rails shooter but still fun. In opposite way Starcraft 2 took as long to be made as DNF after the original game, and it was nothing new or original, yet it received accolades. It's all a sheep mentality I think. DNF deserves low scores for what it is, but it's also not buggy that I've found so far, so they have that going for them.

Ok the Half Life style puzzle stuff is just BS, why the hell only 2 weapons, that was the most pissing thing, the gameplay was not like the original at all, they tried to be a lot like CoD with on rails turret stuff.
SC2 was a great game and although it still did not offer anything new it still had a great gameplay, i mean it was an amazing game. This was not. Altough 3/10 was a little too harsh, i would give this a 6/10 but still this was the biggest disappointment of the year(surpassing Crysis 2, which was a great game but still disappointing compared to the original).

If they indoctrinated journalists like Activision did for Call of Duty MW2/BO, they could have avoided this situation.

Well, I have heard mixed reviews, as I heard people saying that this is an awesome and fun game, and others saying this is utter crap. But having the publisher attack the reviews shows how they KNOW their game isn't good.

    Oh well...

Count with me anytime to go into the Inception style :D

On topic: We knew it wasn't going to be all the awesome, I think the critiques are too harsh.

Well looks like his comments have lost them 2k's business.

They need to take a leaf from the engineers who worked on the later pentium 4s, phenom I chip etc who take it on the chin and don't go throwing threats around.

But really the original was pretty pants? It was massively repetitive and had no depth to it.

I never expected the new game to be any good. The only way I reckon they could attract more buyers was by adding extreme nudity.

Surely they must have expected this.

So if I post a 5 star review of Duke Nukem here on NBR, I get free review copies in the future? xD
