As of today Dungeon Siege 3 will be released in two days. (21st of june)

it looks alot darker then diablo 3. They didnt use warcraft like graphics so I expect a different experience because of it. I forgot about this game until yesterday when I ran into a ad and was like oh yea dungeon siege 3 is coming soon. So is anyone here getting it? what do you think about the game?

I played the demo and it felt generic from the story to the combat. I think even the combat in DAII might have been better. Hack n slash isn't really my type of game though so you may feel different.

There is a demo on steam. I tried it and it seemed pretty poor. It doesn't feel like a hack in slash. Hoping d3 beta comes out soon.

Being a huge fan of Dungeon Siege 1 (buying it on launch day, which I rarely did when I was 16 :)) and missing out entirely on Dungeon Siege 2, I downloaded the demo for the third game not coming into it with any sort of expectation. I have been done with Torchlight for a year or more and we're probably at least a year or two out from Diablo 3 still, so I was excited for my ARPG fix.

I played the demo, and aside from a few control quirks (and having a much more linear path than past DS games) I loved the game. I thought the graphics were pretty good (although others have said otherwise, a point I don't understand) and I was thoroughly immersed half an hour into the demo. The combat is different, which is a good thing in my opinion, and the story was compelling enough for me to want to continue playing the game when it unlocks on Steam in about 28 hours.

That being said, it will probably have to wait until I finish Dungeon Siege 1 (and possibly 2) from the pre-order bonuses, and I've been playing the crap out of Ocarina of Time 3DS since I picked it up this morning...

I really don't get the elitism I've seen toward this game on forums (the Steam forums for the game are AWEFUL). It's not the Metro 2033 of Action RPG's as far as graphics are concerned, and the controls are a tad funny, but it's not a bad game.

I -was- going to buy it to get my Diablo fix on with some friends, but it turns out multiplayer is pretty half-arsed in this game. So... I guess I'm gonna have to twiddle my thumbs til next month brings Torchlight 2. I hope.

There are reviews out on metacritic as stated above, it's a fun action RPG if a bit derivative and somewhat removed from its predecessors. Since there's a demo out, by all means indulge in it before taking the plunge.
