Hey got my E1705, and I love it!

But besides that I hate that I can't use any of the nVidia's drivers. I have to use Dells Drivers.

Is there any other option (if they were better for performance that would be a plus)?

and if there is a better option can you walk me through it step-by-step?

Thanks alost Specs are in the sig and just hoping to up the performance for Battlefield 2 !

With that laptop, you won't need to bother tweaking around to boost performance. It should run everything on max detail settings.

Oh btw this is a question for Chaz, if u have a 7800, do u still need to have 2gb ram for it to run smoother or is the 7800 fine with 1gb ram?

I got the same setup as you and I am also interested in this. Are we stuck with dells drivers?

Darbyjack, Dude I know this thing is cool with the games now but give it a week LOL. It would be nice to know how to get the good stuff now before we need it... ;)

Sorry if I missed this thread.

You shouldn't have any problems with 1GB of RAM, however, I would get one stick so then it is easy to upgrade later on to 2.

For those looking for new drivers, you can use the latest dell drivers just running an updated inf file. Go to laptopvideo2go.com and they have all the files and instructions on how to use them. I updated my laptop and it works perfectly.

Many people use the MobileForce drivers from tweaksrus.com instead of the laptopvideo2go drivers because of the easier installation. It depends on your favorite though.

First ones I found where the ones i posted about, and to be hoenst, all it is, is run the self extracting file, copy the inf over and run setup. Although it doesnt have any of the tweaking the other one mentions, but then again, I like to do my own tweaking :D
