    F.E.A.R. v1.05 Retail

    Stock clock speeds from previous post. (375/1000 7900GS) Standard Dell drivers

    DEFAULT Auto Performance benchmark test; 1024X768

    Min- 35 FPS
    Average - 83 FPS
    Max – 196 FPS

    (500/1100) 7900GS OVERCLOCK Standard Dell drivers

    Min- 40 FPS
    Average - 99 FPS
    Max – 243 FPS

    Default auto setting chosen by game:

    Effects;
    All Max except
    Water (medium)
    Light Density (medium)

    Graphics;
    All Max except
    FSA - 2X
    Soft shadows – off
    Anisotropic – 8X
    Textures - (medium)
    Video - (medium)

    Temperatures running 2 to 4 degrees higher via 8kfan (+8 degrees offset) Which I calibrated with the NVIDIA control panel.

    Like my 7800, the Dell bios lets things cook (idle) up to 76C before GPU fan kicks in at low speed then cuts off around 64C.

    For this reason I have followed examples of others and have 8kfan set to auto start with second GPU fan on low. Things sit around 52C while surfing and playing music.

    When gaming, the BIOS seems to kick in around 73C and keeps things around 81C to 65C. I’m still testing by leaving 8kfan running, during game, to record temperatures.

    Edit: massive firefight today..peaked at 81C. Also running 1600X1200 - with lower frame rates :)

    Those are great scores man! The new Omega drivers give me a terrible FPS at this game, I wonder how?

    The Omegas are not always optimized for speed but for visual. Then again you would have to read their release notes for each version..something I haven't done in over a year.

    Sometimes I had problems cleaning out all of the old drivers. What fun!

    When you get time, install the stock drivers for reference.
