Same, Swede
Also, overstrike looked soooo fun! It was like a mix of The Incredibles and an FPS! Total day 1 buy on :
BF3, Overstrike, UC3. -
Just ended... You missed it...
EA E3, EA E3 2011 - GameSpot.com
Here, watch the whole EA conference.
Skip to 41:00 for Overstrike ( it's soooo fun! ), followed by BF3. -
No that was the EA conference , I saw that, BF3 is supposed to have a separate one, hoping to see some more stuff than what we say at the EA conference(HINT - multiplayer).
EDIT - Just checked IGN, it is happening at 1:30pm tomorrow. Here is the link of the schedule form IGN - http://games.ign.com/articles/117/1172302p1.html
EDIT wait, that is when they'll be checking the games out and its not a press conference. So can we expect some multiplayer vids?? -
It's not a press conference : it's a presentation I think. I think DICE will go on stage and present, for 20 mins, the game. If not, IGN will be intervewing and providing gameplay.
-
Yes I also think it must be IGN interviewing and IGN playing the game. But can we expect any multiplayer details??
-
Yes, we can
Also, Ubisoft's press con was... Weird
. Altough Far Cry 3 seemed really awesome!
-
Did anyone else lol when the sony guy said that BF3 is going to be the biggest on PS3 out of all the platforms. Also you get BF1943 for free PS3 exclusive!!!
I lol'd -
zomg Me3 assasins creed revelation made my day
-
After PC, it will. DICE optimized FB2 to take advantage of all 7 SPUs and use all the PS3's horsepower.
-
E3 2011 Sony PlayStation Vita: Inside and Out - Features at GameSpot
WOW! 249$/249! Wi fi version.
Rear touchpad, camera, awesome CPU and GPU, OLED screen... TOTAL MUST BUY!
-
Indeed a very nice piece of hardware, but I find it a bit expensive, no?
-
It's actually a reasonable price. We were expecting 300 or more.
-
Certainly, but that would be competing already with regular prices for the 360 and PS3. Well, actually the PSP-Vita with 3G is actually competing with the consoles
-
So PS3 users gonna get Uncharted class GFX in BF3?
Awesome. :3
Still getting it on PC. ^_^ -
Wii u
interesting we will se what i can really do in real world -
I do like the concept of the new controller of Wii U. I do want to get it. Also, when EA pres came out it sounds like maybe EA is helping Nintendo built their online infrastructure for playing online.
-
The Wii U looks alright, but im kinda sceptical on how much cash the controllers are gonna cost.
But at least we dont get Kinetic controlled FPS ala Ghost Recon demo.
Still lulzing at that guy, grabbing air. :3 -
Every time microsoft showed the kinect and its game its really kind of awkward to watch. Maybe because of the cheesy dialog. But I did like head tracking in Forza though.
If I had to rank the conference, Nintendo would be first. Sony second and nothing really impress me except the price of the Vita. -
Wii U.... are underwhelming. The joysticks look like garbage, I see BF3 is looking at wii u even, that makes me wonder how the graphics will compare to ps3/360/pc counterparts, also how the touch screen will change the way you play it? on screen map on the in hand screen? I can see the benifits of the screen but the button layout doesn't look very "hardcore" friendly.
-
Wow the PS Vita pricing seems great, glad they did not screw it up like with the PS3.
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
yeah the price is awesome (I'd be angry if I was in europe and had it cost roughly twice as much as it did in the us)
-
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
Wow I want a Wii U now. Finally Nintendo got a console that is good and makes sense.
-
Preordered the PlayStation Vita
-
Well, essentially the Wii U controller is the bottom part of the Nintendo DS, just re-shaped and with a bigger screen (not sure if the same size of the DS XL, never seen one actually). If there is not an off button it better have some good batteries, it looks quite power consuming.
Edit: And thinking a bit further, it seems strange that given the Wii success (due to the novelty of its controller, we should recognize, which M$ and Sony are trying to get into that market right now), Nintendo is preparing its next controller with a more traditional layout. Well, maybe it is a better overall idea to stick a motion sensor to a 360/PS3 controller than using a pointer... we will see. -
I've slept on it and realized how awesome that touch lcd will be, EVERY consoles even pcs should have it on their keyboards. Lets take a game like BF3, now imagine having a map on that touch screen that you and your partners share allowing you to strategize and draw routes to take or enemy positions on. I belive theirs not much to the controller, the controls, a gyroscope, 2 speakers, a mic, and a camera. If an Ipad that does more lasts about 4 hours, you should get atleast 8 from this controller, at the least. I can also see the similarities between the ds obviously and wonder if this means DS games playable on wii u ? Pokemon white on the big screen?
It seems that the novalty of the motion controller has worn off and like the CEOS of Nintendo were saying, this console is aimed more for the "core" gamers, It still retains compatability with the wii controller and even uses both together like in the golf example. It also looks like it retains alot of the motion of the other controller anyways. It seems like it will be a mix use of both new and old controller, which makes me wonder how much the new controllers cost, and how durable they are, we arent talking a cheap controller your swinging around now, it has a screen, and those bust! -
The next addition to the Hitman franchise got previewed on Gamespot, hard core fans are going to hate the way some scenes are scripted and you can't just sneak in, eliminate the target and vanish for the famed Silent Assassin rank. On the flip side, the game looks very good from the few screenshots offered.
-
I can't see how a Wii can be for "core gamers"
Maybe I am mis-interpreting what is a "core gamer"
I cannot see anything about the controller that great. Now if it had a awesome console like s0ny's or M$ (albeit old now) at the other end then I would say it had great potential. I thought it looked weak and pointless. I mean maybe a little harsh but it just wasn't really outstanding. It didn't make me want to go get a wii. (even if it is the worlds easiest console to software mod)
The vista looks great. -
Another preview on gamespot, this time's it's from SOE titled Payday: The Heist. Somewhat unusual concept in simulating bank robberies, sure to rile quite a few government authorities on release even if the concept itself isn't overused. If they introduce freedom of choice to complete the objective presented, it might turn out to be an interesting game. However, most bank robberies I'm aware of tend to end up like Hollywood movies with guns blazing so there's little scope for originality in mission design...
-
Lol. Yeah I went one year, but as press. Was good time. Too bad they restricted it. nVidia threw one hell of a party. And got to rock on with Robin Williams, Jennifer Garner (my GF - lol), and Smash Mouth.
Oh I'm so old now, reminiscing is even hard work...
But personally mainly looking at Deus Ex and Battlefield 3 for this year. -
Noooo they screwed up Hitman, but hopefully that was just for that particular mission, and hopefully there are a few old school missions as well. Open ended silent assassin stuff was my favorite part.
-
Call of Hitman: Modern Assassin? xD
I dont hope they ruin Hitman.
Had good times sneaking around and completing mission without bullets. -
Lol. But there is hope, if you look at the IGN interview the developer says that the demo given was of an action oriented mission and there will be other more standard assassination missions too.
Honestly Blood Money is one of my favorite games of all time, hope they don't ruin it. -
Remembered when i first discovered the Hitman series with Hitman 2 Silent Assassin on PS2.
Oh how i love that game.
Rebought it on Steam at the Eidos / Square Enix sale.
Probably try replaying after Duke Nukem since it unlocks today ( ^_^ )
But i only got some hours a day until June 17 and too many games that i have to finish. -
They have ditched alot of motion controls for basic controller with a touch screen so core gamers dont complain about the motion controls anymore. Updating the graphics capability to twice what the PS3 or 360 can do and has more Ram in this system appeals to the core gamers. Most people who started gaming back in the day did it with a Nintendo, and since Gamecube , Nintendo hasn't been focusing on hardcore gamers, but now with a more powerful system that comes out years before anything Sony or MS are willing to put out is appealing to those people. This gives console gamers a glimpse of what we've got going on PC side, who knows, maybe it's even DX11 capable.
This is good news regardless because its giving developers hardware more similar to what mid range pc users have now which is 2 X better than PS3 and 360 so we might start seeing more DX11 support and better ports. Nintendo's wii is the best selling console, and to build on there consumer base by releasing a console like this is nothing short of genius.
And to the Hitman discussion its sad that money rules some people's minds, Eidos generally puts out pretty solid games so hopefully thats enough faith to go on. On the subject of ruining games, I cant believe there is still heat clips in ME3, super disappointed in Bioware selling out to EA to make the game more streamlined for average gamers. You start out with a brilliant first game ME1 and then water it down to be a narrow scripted experience, why bioware why?!! -
Cant go wrong with Nintendo. ;p
My Wii is collecting dust in the corner atm but il set it up again with the new Zelda. -
Agreed, I was going to pick up the wii metroid trilogy used only to find its a collectors rarity and costs 80 bucks up, super upsetting. I am thinking hard on wii u but Im not sure if I can drop the money just yet, until I hear skyrim is gonna pop its head onto the system with the awesome touchscreen gameplay.
-
I have that metroid collectors edition. I tried playing it but I couldn't get over the motion sensor crap. didn't realize it had gone UP in price since I got it.
-
Oh ya its a collectors item now, I don't think discs are being printed anymore is what im assuming.
-
It does say "Collectors Edition" on the cover.
