"US games giant Electronic Arts (EA) is to buy two video game studios for $855m (£422m) in a deal adding role-playing and action titles to its portfolio."
As much as I like some of EA's games I'm not keen on how the larger gaming software houses are absorbing the smaller ones. The gaming industry needs small independant gaming houses in my opinion to develop new inovative ideas. They seem to be getting too much of a monopoly in the gaming market to me and that can't be a good thing!

Look on the bright side: Mass Effect may make an appearance to other consoles now including the PC thanks to the EA takeover. Microsoft will have less sway over Xbox 360 exclusivity.
