The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Give this a try:
However, instead of Delete, I would just move it out of the folder then try and load steam.
If the solution doesn't work, you can always move the dll file back...

He reformatted a few days ago, you don't get viruses that fast.

He never replied with the results. I am going to take his silence as a sign that he has the problem solved already. Until he post back we should stop reviving this thread, since there isn't much to go on without his feedbacks. ;)

check the filepath, if the dll is there, its could be corrupted. if it is there delete it, then right click on game in steam > local files > verify integrity of cache
will fix almost any problems, though it will delete custom models

You should down load the .dll, I haven't personally tried this site. But a few of my friends have had good luck with it.
