NOTE: Remember, when overclocking it is important to increase clockspeeds with moderation; 5-10MHz increases at a time are recommend, and extensive 3D testing at every overclock setting should be done to ensure that your graphics card is stable in all applications.

Doesn't it only work for Nvidia GPUs.
-
Good program, I use it for almost a month!
Only noticed that the site link Overclockers.ru Russia.
-
Never used it, probably never will. My GTX OCes like crap, max 600/800.

Whats your temps? Or its that the card just don't clock higher than that due to voltage etc Yeah this is a nice newb friendly overclocker, been using it for a while. Nice skins though.
-
Temps are max 65C non OCed,about 68 at 600/800.
The thing is I`m getting artefacts in 3dmark at anything above that...so darn.Cause there`s plenty of room for heat... -
very curious and interested, does it work for 8800m GTX?
-
- Windows XP32/64 or Vista32/64
- nVidia 6, 7, 8 and 9 series graphics card
- Forceware 96.xx or higher drivers

hey guys i am getting a new hp DV 9700t today ..! i am curious to overclock it as i know that 8600M GS wont be taking that much of load..! i dont want to seriously overclock it but i was curious to overclock it so that i can play games like BF2 UT3 and NFS and HL2 orange box. and some other good games like COD4 etc.
i have seen some where that only certain drivers allow overclocking not all. i dont know which stock drivers will i be getting from HP.
what i will be doing is checking the version of the drivers trying a game on my stock computer.! and then i will be in safe mode i will use driver sweeper from guru3d.com and remove the older drivers install the new drivers extract them in a folder thne the modded.inf in that folder run setup.exe ( as prompted by eleron). and have new drivers installed on my pc. then i wanna use EVGA PRECISION to overclock it. and make two profiles so that i can easily switch between the profiles when i dont want my GPUs to run at a higher speed.
my question is that overclocking .. ( is it dangerous for the life of a laptop.. even if the temperatures and speeds are in the safe range( after Ocing) ..)
and the things that i will be doing is it the right way for overclocking a GPU.
i wil be having a vista 32-bit.. and 3gb ram.
my card is a 512MB geforce 8600M GS
and 2.4Ghz t8300 processor,
and secondly all the forceware drivers above 97.xx are overclockable with EVGA or only certain drivers allow..!
SORRY FOR MY BAD LANGUAGE m INDIAN ..! thanks -
Hi I downloaded this utility but it doesnt seem to work with my old stupid nvidia go 6150....i know it is a really old crappy card but i just wanted to check if it works....it says works with 6,7,8 series...
are there any specific drivers i should install? -
Try 169.04. Those are the only drivers that allowed me to OC my card.
-
169.04 dont install. My computer crashes when i install these drivers
-
Hey, I heard that there is a nvidia ntune program out there too, I was wondering if I should use the ntune or this evga one. I know that evga works on nvidia's cards. My friend has 3 8800 gtxs from evga I believe, idk. What is the best for teh nubcakes like me??? I don't know what I should overclock either... What the he** is the shader clock and what is the optimum OC for my computer. I know I will need to play around with the ocing program, but if you could please recommend some settings? Here are my specs. I don't really care about battery life...
- HP Pavilion dv5t Entertainment Notebook
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
- Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.4 GHz)
- 15.4" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
- 4gb RAM @ 800mhz from crucial
- 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
- 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
I would like to play Crysis on high, people tell me I can handle medium with no problem. I have not received my laptop yet, but as you can tell, I am getting ready. lol
