"The biggest news is that Elden Ring will support ray tracing in some form on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X, though it'll happen post-launch with a patch. On the downside, however, owners of high refresh rate displays will be disappointed to learn that the frame rate is locked to a maximum of 60 FPS even on PC." https://wccftech.com/elden-ring-tec...-on-pc/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
This game looks great. But 60 FPS? Seriously?

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.

I feel games like that don't really need more than 60 because of the gameplay. Maybe input plays a factor but not so much in this one.

Makes me wonder if its just a console port not optimized for PC. Maybe that's why PC wasn't included in the tech beta.
and I just read this: Elden Ring has all the trimmings on console, but PC players won't be happy
"Unfortunately, Elden Ring’s technical limitation isn’t too surprising. Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 were notorious for their lackluster PC conversions, with the games locking players to 30fps and 60fps respectively.
It means that those who want to play at a higher framerate in Elden Ring will have to once again turn to a mod or workaround post-launch, which isn’t an ideal solution by any means."
