    Empire Earth Lags as Crazy on GTX8800

    My bro runs on a E6600, 8800 GTX, 2 GB ram and Vista 64. he get about 10k 3dmark06 on stock settings. Still when i tried out Empire Earth 3 it lags like there was no tomorrow. We are talking a few FPS.

    He patched it with the lastest patch and use the 169 drivers for the GTX.

    He runs all details on max in 1650x1050 with no AA

    Anyone else tested this games? Even Crysis runs a lot better

    EE3 has been known to lag like that. I don't know why. Try lowering the settings, it might stop the lag. If not, try different drivers.

    As for the problem, make sure that you have updated Empire Earth 3 to v1.1, lower your graphics settings, lower resolution...etc

    Other than that, nothing you can do, well, except complain the problem in EE3 official forums, hopefully, they (MadDoc) will listen and release the next patch soon (though highly doubt it will improve performance).

    Worse you can do, return the game, get your refund, buy Empire Earth 1 & 2. Way better than 3.

    Actually, EE3 isn't horrible, it just could be better.

    EE1 is the best.
