How long do you think a laptop with a core i5 processor and a Nvdia 670gtx FTW gpu would last in battery time? would it at least be able to hold a charge or even have a life of 3 or 4 hours?

lol....Cloudfire kids a bit. Depends, what are you trying to do in those 3-4 hours? Gaming, it won't last near that long using the 670, probably closer to much less than an hour. General usage, if it uses Optimus (IGP) then you can expect great battery life doing normal desktop tasks like word processing and browsing.... my little G46 lasts 6+ hours no problem running an i7.
EDIT, more info: Dedicated performance GPU's generally don't run on battery properly, they are limited in clock speed and performance, and slowed down to the point it doesn't make any sense to use them on battery. Not sure when this happened, but for example on my G46, the 660mGTX is actually slower overall on battery than the integrated gpu. Totally ruins gaming on the go, but nobody can give a solution, only that the dedicated GPU's drain the battery too fast so they are neutered horribly on battery power. -
Are you talking about an external graphics card? Cause I've never heard of a laptop that includes a core i5 and 670m lol
If so, my macbook pro i5 connected to a 560 egpu didn't really last very long while playing games. I'd say I could get a few hours out it. The biggest problem was my cpu bottlenecked a ton of games, so it was constantly running at temperatures higher than normal (100c for numerous hours, I'm surprised it still works). -

GTX 670m with Optimus with 80WHr battery should last 4 hours with light use. Without Optimus, 2.5-3 if you're lucky.

Why was my post deleted.
I wrote 5 minutes. I was serious. GTX 670 FTW is a desktop GPU
Estimate for Battery Life?
