Played online games before like Everquest1 & 2 and a couple of the Star Wars and some of the gamers on there just ruined it for others and just argued for the sake of it.
Will have to see how it goes, would have much preferred it a non online one player game.Last edited: Jun 11, 2018 -

"Earlier at Microsoft's E3 conference, you'd be forgiven for thinking Fallout 76 was a brand-new Fallout game.
It is and it isn't.
Fallout 76 is expressly an online video game. "Of course you can play this solo," explained Howard. But he also mentioned that Fallout 76 is "entirely online".
The idea of Fallout 76: Every human you meet in the world is an actual human being in real life. But Howard stressed that this is a game that will be played with dozens of other players, not hundreds. Survival is the focus.
Howard did an incredible job of communicating the concept of this game to a player-base that might not interested in playing an online version of Fallout. "It's a little bit scary," he admitted, but tried to communicate that it was a journey he hoped to take with a community used to single-player experiences."
Reading it isn't the same as listening to him speak it. I got a more warm feeling that there will be plenty of Solo user play available to enjoy too...22:45...the bit before it is fun too starting at 20:05 "Atomics for Peace"

Starfield has my interest, its been too long since we have had a good single player space RPG (since Mass Effect died). I'm still sceptical as to whether it will be any good as an RPG though as story is not Bethesda's strong point.
Apart from Fallout 76, there seems to be a small resurgence of the single player game at E3, hopefully it means game developers have gotten the message that we don't all want multiplayer.hmscott likes this. -

Fallout76 isn't "gaming laptop friendly", by hiding single player behind an online only scheme Bethesda has gone full Ubisoft ...and even Ubisoft doesn't go full Ubisoft anymore.

If it turns out that Fallout 76 is PVP instead of PVE that's a dealbreaker for me, it's bad enough its online only. To then add the ability for other players to be able to completely destroy a players camp/settlement that took them ages to build and get just right would be foolish.
I do hope Bethesda get this right as its caused many problems in other online games. In the meantime I'm going to do another fresh run at Fallout 4, knowing that some spotty oik isn't going to get his hands on a nuke and destroy one of my settlements! -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Cyberpunk 2077 was basically the only thing I was interested in during this year's E3.
Saw the trailer, bust a nut, and now I can continue waiting happily for the next 5 years...
A few other games I'm interested in.
- New Tomb Raider - for sure story/characters will be not very good, but in this case I'm all in for that gameplay. PC doesn't have a lot of similar games, so I'm willing to let the rather crappy story/characters slide.
- Dying Light 2 - didn't play the first one, but Chris Avellone's involvement in it peaked my interest. Will see what comes out of this and might even grab it.
- Lootboxcoin - please, just take my money!
The rest is pretty much the same'o E3...
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go and watch CP2077 trailer for the n-th time. -

Cyperpunk 2077 "in-engine" trailer looks tight, but I expect the final product to be downgraded because it's CDPR after all. #TargetRender

Luckily The Witcher 3 still looks good (obviosuly not the way it was intended at first), but most importantly it's actually a good game overall!
Hopefully CP2077 will look good and have content of the same quality as TW3! -

I think why people have double standards when it comes to the examples you mentioned above is the fact that TW3 isn't all about the graphics.
Yes, they got downgrades, but that game is more than just graphics, as it pretty much delivered on everything else - story, gameplay, characters, you name it! And heck, even graphics look great!
And CDPR doesn't get a pass because they are simply good guys. They had to earn it first. And they did so by being honest with players. No lootboxes or payed cosmetic DLC which isn't a part of the season pass, and their season pass actually means quality. 30EUR for two big expansion vs. 50EUR for a couple of story missions which take 4 hours in total to complete. This is why people forgave them downgraded graphics and hold them in high regard.
In case of Division, not only graphics got downgraded, but the game overall. So it was in effect quite a different game from its E3 presentation.
And this year's E3 presentation of Division 2 did the same mistake, including that cringey scripter "real" co-op interaction between players.
Luckily this time people know what to expect from the game, so the backlash won't be too big. Mind you, Division still sold bananas, so I expect this will sell well also.
Getting back on topic, also happy to see new footage of Metro Exodus and HITMAN 2.
My list of awaited games (so far):
- Cyberpunk 2077;
- HITMAN 2;
- New Tomb Raider (hell if I'm gonna remember spell the entire name);
- Metro Exodus.
And a couple of more I may be interested in:
- Buttbuttin's Creed Odyssey;
- Dying Light 2.Last edited: Jun 12, 2018hmscott and yrekabakery like this. -

Cyberpunk 2077’s trailer tried to sneak a bunch of good news past you
Enhance. Enhance.
By Ben Kuchera Jun 10, 2018, 7:06pm EDT
https://www.polygon.com/e3/2018/6/10/17447066/cyberpunk-2077-trailer-hidden-text
" Cyberpunk 2077 was given an extended preview during Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2018, and that section of the show began with an in-theater effect that made it look like the show was being hacked. It’s a neat trick — even if it’s something we’ve seen before — but the glitchy visuals hid a variety of details about the game, as well as free copies of Witcher 3’s Game of the Year edition.
I am absolutely delighted to report that multiple people on the Polygon team enhanced the image in a variety of ways to try to get the best look at the text possible. I will neither confirm nor deny that I stood over their shoulder with a stern look on my face repeating the word “enhance.” This is a fun job, and don’t let anyone tell you differently.
You have to look at multiple frames to get the full text:
Slides on site...
So what does it say? Here are some tidbits from the hidden text:
- CD Projekt Red doesn’t want to hint at a release date. “Quality is the only thing that drives us,” the text says. “It’s the beauty of being an independent studio and your own publisher.”
- There will be free DLC, and no DRM. “Expect nothing less than you got with The Witcher 3,” it states. “As for DRM, CP2077, will be 100 percent DRM-free on PC.” I’m not sure this includes the DRM that’s built into Steam, but let’s not be picky. This is likely a reference to copies sold on GOG.com, which is owned by CD Projekt.
- No microtransactions! “In a single player role-playing game?” the text says. “Are you nuts?”
It’s been over 2077 days since we announced our plan to develop Cyberpunk 2077. We released a CGI trailer, gave some interviews and… went dark. Normal procedure for these kinds of things — you announce a game and then shut up, roll up your sleeves and get to work. We wanted to give you the Witcher 3 and both expansions first, which is why this period of staying silent was longer than we planned. Sorry for that.
As soon as we concluded work on Blood and Wine, we were able to go full speed ahead with CP2077’s pre-production. But we chose to remain silent. Why? At she point we made the decisions to resume talking about the game when we have something to show. Something meaningful and substantial. This is because we do realize you’ve been impatiently waiting for a very long time, and we wouldn’t like anyone to feel that we’re taking this for granted. On the contrary — it gives us a lot of extra motivation. The hype is real, so the sweat and tears need to be real, too
But to the point. Today is the day. If you’re seeing this, it means you saw the trailer. - our vision for Cyberpunk, an alternative version of the future where America is in pieces, megacorporations control all aspects of civilized life, and gangs rule the rest. And, while this world is full of adrenaline, don’t let the car chases and guns mislead you. Cyberpunk 2077 is a true single player, story-driven RPG. You’ll be able to create your own character and… well, you’ll get to know the rest of what show at our booth at E3. Be on the lookout for the previews!
Before we finish, you probably have some questions,
1. When?
When we told you we would only release the game when it’s ready, we meant it. We’re definitely much closer to a release date than we were back thenbut it’s still not the time to confirm anything, so patience is still required. Quality is the only thing that drives us. It’s the beauty of being an independent studio and your own publisher.
2. How big?
Seriously big, but… to be honest, we have no bloody clue at this point in time. Once we put it all together, we will openly tell you what you can expect. And we promise we’ll do this before we start talking about pre-orders or ask anything of you.
3. Free DLC/Expansions/DRM
Expect nothing less than you got with The Witcher 3. As for DRM, CP2077, will be 100% DRM-free on PC.
4. Microtransactions?
In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?
Once again, thank you for your patience. If you have a minute, do visit cyberpunk.net and share your opinion (about anything) with us. We read everything you posted we treat it very seriously.
Yours,
CD PROJEKT RED Team"

What !? Nobody excited for this masterpiece to return ? #Doomguy #BestFPSgame & Mick Gordon is returning as well, Hyped and pumped up !
Apart from that I'm looking forward for the new Remedy game Control, looks like Quantum break without that TV show. Looks more polished than many games, And another FPS game from Bethesda again, Wolfenstein - Youngblood, Co-op and solo SP option
Hitman 2 trailer looks mediocre & outdated vs the SE episodic bs Hitman. I hope the game is good.
Rage 2 is welcomed as well to me, FPS ! The Division 2 engine gameplay looks stunning, esp that seeker drone., unfortunately MMO. No SP campaign. DC aftermath trailer
And another star of the show, Metro Exodus !
But I guess the new 4K gameplay was not on PC, this one from E3 2017 looks like PC
Fallout 76 is a massive disappointment, Plus this is coming from new studio (made for MP) iirc not the main ones. Trying to monetize like that failure GaaS - Assassin's creed (No way its AC, After Desmond it died with him, the newest ones are literally shaming the whole franchise and the new Ubilogo suits that garbage, ultra downgraded as a service crap), I hope they get a massive kick in the balls and gut for this silly move.
Meanwhile Halo seems like a crapshoot with all that idiotic music playing in such a prolific game (Dead anyways after Halo 3). Finally the biggest surprise was DOOM and Cyberpunk 2077 being a damn FPS game.
Edit : Sony's consolol Last of Us 2, Sick and ultimate gameplay trailer tbh, along with another interesting one Ghost of Tsushima both look stunning, along with that Death Standing. All SP campaigns, PC industry can take a page or two from them (Looking at Ubitroll, Mega failure EA predator, Anthem ? felt like soulless trash destiny rehash, For that Mass Effect was killed, shame) & Oh the RE2, It's coming to PC as well.

On the other hand, new Wolfenstein sounds kinda meh... -
The games I'm most anticipating from the show:
(PC only, TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima definitely were best of show IMO, but I don't have a PS4 yet.. so..)
- DooM Eternal: I've been so jonesing for more SP DooM content.. Finally! I may replay DooM 2016 soon just in anticipation. I'm currently making my way through DooM 1993 using the lastest Brutal DooM Beta + an HD texture pack. So fun..
- Cyberpunk 2077: I'm pretty shocked with myself that I'm ranking this underneath DooM. The only real reason is because I think DooM Eternal might launch first. Really the difference between these two are like winning $100M vs $101M in the lottery. Since they are wholly different games and experiences they aren't really competing.. One thing I do know is that when Cyberpink 2077 does release, everything else is probably going to get put on hold for 300 hours. The only thing that would stop me from doing that is if id screws up and releases DE too close to it. I think DE would probably be a short enough game that I'd just finish it off before I started Cyberpunk. But.. who in their right mind is going to release their AAA a game anywhere near Cyberpunk's release date? Suicide. I think it might be the sole reason so many games don't have release dates past early 2019 right now, no one wants to commit until they hear when CDPR is releasing this...
- Rage 2: This looks good.. if it was just more DooM with a Wastleland-Mad Max skin on it I'd already be down. I think one reviewer/analysis from a playthrough said they were skeptical of the open-world stuff since none of it was on display. But they didn't care since what was there in the "levelesque" style was good. I'm with them.. open-world.. no open-world.. whatever.. do a take on the DooM style madness with a different flair and i'm so there. Open-world stuff that works well would just be a bonus. It seems id has gained focus and is firing on all cylinders after trying to re-discover themselves for a little while. I have confidence this will be good.
- Metro: Exodus: I still haven't played all of Last Light... I need to fix that. These guys have a good track record..
- Wolfenstein: Youngblood: #@$* Nazis... Actually I thought the Agent Silent Death (aka Jessica Valiant) extra missions for Wolf 2 was some of the better content in the game.. I'm down..
- Fallout 76: Color me interested in this...I'm very skeptical about the online play angle, it seems monumentally ripe for trolling and griefing. But I'll reserve judgement for when I get a chance to play it. I don't really take to MP games much anymore, but this is mildly interesting
- Wow.. so much Zenimax Media stuff in this list...
- Assassin's Creed: Odyssey: I'm still just partly Unity.. I'm not getting to this any time soon..
- The rest... I'm not even going to bother mentioning the other Bethesda nuggets.. they are so far off it's not worth anticipating them at this point. I don't really care much for racing games so Forza looks good but I don't care about it.. Control looks decent but I don't really know much about it yet... I never played the new Hitman, so Hitman 2 does nothing for me. If the Enderal team (the Skyrim mod) announced they were doing Enderal 2, that would be up in this list somewhere. Enderal is amazing...
