I really dont understand this card from Intel. it can use up to 384 MB ram right? Can i go into bios and change it to run at 384 all the time? I heard people running the card on different ram? I am getting the X3100 today and i want to tune this sucker so it perform at its best![]()

It should automatically be set to use that amount of memory when required.
-
Um, GMA isnt an actually a card; its integrated video memory that dynamically draws from system memory when needed.
-
I'm pretty sure it is a card, just that it's soldered onto the motherboard.
-
If it needs to use that much RAM, I believe it will automatically.

It is built into the motherboard, but it's also still referred to as a card, meaning that it is hardware.
There's not much to tuning the x3100. It's meant for basic work, and running Vista. That's about it. It can play older games, but won't be able to play newer, or graphically challenging games, no matter how much RAM you give it. -
okay thanks guys at least i can play WOW that even workd well on my GMA 945
Explain me the GMA X3100 Once and for all!
