    Hello,

I have an Lenovo SL400 for work purposes using the latest intel mobile graphics driver. When I connect a 22" external display to the VGA port and adjust the resolution to the 1680x1050 native resolution, instead of increasing the on screen resolution, it extends it off the bounds of the monitor. The on screen resolution seems to stay at the native resolution of the laptop, 1280x800. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Will the laptop display go any higher than 1280x800?

Are you disabling the laptop's display (leaving just the external one)? I've found that external monitors don't play too nicely when you want to use 2 different resolutions.
