Hi so over the summer I saw a few threads about the asus and the msi external graphics cards. I saw that they were expected to be released soon, but after recently googleing these i realised all the threads and web sites I found Posted about these nearly a year ago. My question is Can we expect to ever see these products? I want to get one for my brother for christmas if they are coming by then so I wanted to know. Thanks

Nope, all hype, no substance so far. They'll come out when Duke Nukem Forever comes out. (or when pigs fly, whatever comes first).

Yea I doubt they just called the xg off. It looked like it was in its finishing stages, but that was way back in summer. Have they just delayed it?

I only know of one external graphics solution that's ever been successfully released. The Asus XG has been delayed indefinitely, and while it's possible it might be revived as sort of a proprietary dock for later Asus machines, for now I wouldn't hope to see any sort of XG compatible with current laptops.
