    Check out that gameplay:

    YouTube - F.E.A.R. 3 - Village Gameplay

    Nice weapons and overall design!!

Wonder what'll be the System Requirements.. It won't run on the Jupiter EX engine like the previous games in the F.E.A.R franchise, right?

i think the graphics won't be demanding as i imagine, but i can see some graphic deja vu of the darkness i did not like in fear 2, the project origin game has shadow/darkness that is irritating for me and not scary and the solidarity of the graphic is a bit blurred in my opinion, but hey that's fear 2. in fear 3's release we can see how much they improve the gameplay and graphics.

so you can use alma? is she the one with the psychic red aura and all?

Graphically looks similar to the 2nd game and looks like it can be played on Max fine on a 5870M at least.

Seems they liked some ideas from Singularity or other games like it.

It's a sequel to FEAR 2 and it's not being made by Monolith but some other studio. So as I said above. looks like the same engine. At least that's the trend I've seen, if a sequel is made by another studio, they don't make engine, they just do design and get it out cheap while the big time studio develops the next gen engine for the next gen game. COD is a perfect example, IW is the developer giant, Treyarch just produces disappointing rehashes with the engines IW developed.

Can't wait for this, getting the Collector's Edition:

    YouTube - F.E.A.R. 3 Collector - UK

Don't see anything for an NA collector's release on the channel page. :( Might need to order from the UK.

Looks decent. Wouldn't mine giving it a go in a room of darkness to heighten the gameplay :)

Doesn't look bad. It will be for 360/PS3, and thus quite playable on PCs. I'll wait for the reviews and see if the story or new features (like 'paranormal' powers) makes it worth.

Those screens look like 2005 technolgoy (i.e. Doom 3). Nothing special there I see. Not that it needs to be, in order to be a good game. But it's a bit disappointing. Consoles holding it back I'm sure.

I've finished the very first game, but not any of the others. Better get cracking on that.

As for the zombies, they do seem a bit out of place. After all, FEAR is all about psionic phenomena and the like. Zombies seem a bit... mundane.

And I don't know how much it'll directly connect with FEAR 2. In this game you're playing as Paxton and the first game's Point Man, not Becket.

Took a look at the wiki, and apparently you're able to control Paxton Fettel, the psychic commander from the first game.

    1. I really don't care that much about the graphics - it looks quite good to my taste and I really want the game to run well on my machine, rather than say that the graphics are divine and get 6 fps on medium settings (e.g Metro 2033, Crysis, etc.)

    2. The zombies are not that bad guys.. you can't make the 3rd game in the FEAR franchise look like the first game - they had to work on new enemies, hence the game will look different from what we have known in the original.

i think FEAR begins to lose its taste, the main theme of fear is element of surprise, lengthy gameplay and the simplicity of the story. i think they did not concentrate much on the graphic improvement. i also don't mind the graphics except in FEAR 2, they had a really annoying darkness and shadows details, and true to say it looks like console-ish...it think i expected more like better contrast and solid edges with regards to FEAR 2 graphics.

Woah graphics is so good. But I think Dead Space 1/2 is scarier than FEAR 3. The horror of sound effects hahaha.

i'll just ask, is there an official and latest release date for fear 3? i saw some game sites that they said the release date was delayed (again) in 2 months time. is this true?
