According to my email and the Project Origin main page, Monolith bought back the rights to its own franchise's title.

No more confusion, F.E.A.R. 2 will now be called F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Previously, it was to be called just Project Origin because Monolith (original creators of F.E.A.R.) no longer owned the naming rights (and certain storyline elements) from their own game.

What remains to be seen is if the storyline in F.E.A.R. 2 will be retailored to include the original "Point Man" or if Monolith will continue on the parallel storyline they had undertaken as a necessity of not owning the rights to parts of the original F.E.A.R. storyline.

    Awesome!
