I just installed the game and set my options including enabling PunkBuster, but when I go to Multiplayer all it does is say "waiting" in the lower left hand of the server browser and no servers show up!![]()

have you opened up the required ports for FEAR in Router Managment Console Page? The required ports should be stated in the program readme or on the FEAR website.

oops, hehe I got it to work, I forgot to hit "find servers button".
Its fun so far. -
I'm having the same problem. I hit the "find servers" button, and it delays for a few seconds, and then says Error.

Same thing happened to me, I didn't get the email, but someone here advised me to use the Forgot Your Cd Key thing where you enter your email. Worked for me (though it may take a couple tries...)

Well, I figured out why it wasn't displaying the servers. My firewall apparently was running, but wasn't showing in the systray, so I just opened it up, and allowed F.E.A.R., and voila!
I had the problem with the CD key too, that you guys are having. Here's what you should do. Fill out the information on the site, albeit bogus or legit, and for the Email address, go to http://www.mailinator.com/ and use the "autogenerated address" that they provide you on the right side of the screen. Keep that window open, and finish the process on the F.E.A.R. website. After it says your CD Key has been mailed, then just copy and paste the "autogenerated address" (without the @mailinator.com) into the box below "Check your inbox!" and hit GO.
You should now have one Email in your inbox, and it's from Sierra with your CD Key. -
the best way when your opening up ports is to disable Windows Firewall by going to: start- control panel - security center - manage settings for windows firewall - in the new window that appears click Off and then apply.
windows firewall is not very good and is very irritating sometimes. -
dude youre psycho... unless you have another firewall solution, do not turn off windows firewall. Go into control panel and choose windows firewall. Within there you can set access permissions for fear. Its as easy as hitting browse and locating the executable
F.E.A.R. Combat NO SERVERS!
