Hello I've been having a re-occuring issue with F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. Combat, and F.E.A.R. Extraction Point.

I will open the F.E.A.R. client and the words will disappear, everything will be there except for the Single Player, Multiplayer, Settings, and Options.

If I scroll around and click on the invisible link for Multiplayer and actually make it into a game, the Weapon Names are invisible, and in a game the Timer is invisible, basically all names and options become invisible.

This has happend to me like 5-6 times on different laptops, Windows MCE, Vista and XP Professional.

It will happen randomly and sometimes it goes back to normal after a restart, sometimes it stays like that forever.

I know it isn't my video card, drivers, or any hardware conflictions or whatnot.
All my XP/Vista drivers were 100% updated and working perfectly. My laptops were all brand new, and the game files were all updated to 1.08 (though this happend when 1.07 was out.)

Has anyone experienced this and/or possibly know of a fix for it?

    Thanks

    -Aaron

Maby you can find your answer from one of these threads which are found using the search function for "no menu" in official FEAR forums... Something is definitely conflicting with FEAR. It could be a specific codec or maby a program running in the background.. Have you tried a clean boot?

I had this issue with a damaged installation file (Fear Combat that is). I dowloaded the dang thing at least 10 times, and 9 out of ten were bad. Finally i have one exe that works and I have copied it on three different locations just in case. Never had any issues afterwards (and I installed it on 6 computers).

    Cheers,

    Ivan

Iv'e had this problem after several clean installs yes.

This also happens not just with F.E.A.R. Combat but with F.E.A.R. retail.

I will check the forums and see if I can find anything there, thanks for the replies.
