In a freak accident.....my play disk for F.E.A.R. suffered terminal injuries....it inexplicably lodged itself under the leg of a step stool and someone stepped on it......it is unplayable now. I've tried burning a copy of my friends disk, but it wouldn't play.....am I able to contact Monolith and have a replacement sent? Any suggestions (that don't include, go out and buy another copy)?

If you still have any of the original disk, or the original manual or receipt, you can contact Monolith and get a replacement, probably for a few bucks (shipping & handling). Still a lot cheaper than buying another copy.

They should be give you a replacement, a friend of mines had his Diablo 2 play CD get crushed by accident(didn't say how heh), and he had to send the pieces to Blizzard North for a replacement

Was a few years ago though.

You can always hit up a bittorrent client. As long as you still own the game and the serial, they aren't exactly going to haul you away for downloading it!!

you could also use Alcohol 120% to make an image of the disc, and mount it everytime you want to play. of course you will still need the cd key to play..
