    FAR CRY ON 8600m GT Help!!

    Hey people... can't seem to play far cry on my 1720....

    This is the image i get... its mostly blue... any suggestions?

    There is no image posted.......suggestions? farcry patches/updates, plus video card updates.

    Make sure you patch the game to 1.40 if you are running on Vista.

    you get the white texture problem?

    everything white and blue?
    i had the same problem. nothing was clear.

    if its solved with 1.40, do let me know

    yeah downloading the file... some 180 mb...

    UPDATE: Got it working well with the 1.3 patch.... the game looks beautiful.. all the settings maxed out.

    That's interesting I had this problem when testing Far Cry for my GMA950 screenshot thread, apart from the wierd blue/white textures it ran acceptably at lowest settings but I just assumed the problem was the GMA950 - but come to think of it in other reviews they said a bad performer, but no graphical problems were mentioned....

    I'll just post my question here since it's a Far Cry related thread anyway.

    I'm also having graphical problems with Far Cry. I set everything on high at native resolution except that my shadows option can only be set to medium. When I put it to high or ultra high, I get black textures on random objects on screen. BTW, it runs super silk smooth so I'm assuming it's not my hardware. Any suggestions with a patch?

    Well i got the 1.40 patch as well from ubisoft's website.... and the game looks awesome!!!!

    during gameplay the game always crashes for me.

    even with the update? it might be something with ur drivers. r ur GPU drivers up to date? did u try the "XP Compatibility" option in ur shortcut?
