A few days ago I bought FEAR Gold Edition. In Vista I was able to run the original game at 1280x800 with settings med/max. The game was pretty stable but occasionaly when a new area loaded the shadows were all screwed up and my frame rate would drop significantly. When this happened I ran past the area where it was happening and tried to ignore it. Now I just started XP and it is having this same problem but about 70% of the time. In 1024x768 it is barely playable unless I turn shadows off. I updated my driver from the original to Nvidia's 101.41 and then to 101.70 from TweaksRUs and I still had the same problem.

Anyone else having this problem? Is this a driver problem or is XP just a lot more demanding and less stable? Do I need to post a pic?
