I have money finally, I have fast internet finally, I have time to kill and enjoy FPS.

I'm thinking of online fps I can't decide between BF3 and MW3. I'm not very skilled but i'm sure with practice I can be pretty good, but I like being able to kill rookies and having that satisfaction. I have counter strike but all i do is die and cannot enjoy the game when all I do is spawn then die.

take in mind and help me decide what is better for me as I hate being dominated by pros.

edit. pros and cons for both games!

    BF3...

    Pros:
Variety of game modes, huge and small maps, every game feels different, tons of weapons, great stat tracking system, fun clan matches

    Cons:
Origin sucks. Not too bad, but just enough. Web browser based game menu is kind of annoying. Feels sluggish at times. No matter how good you are, if you team sucks, you're going to die a lot, no in game mic.

    MW3...

    Pros:
Runs well on pretty much ANY modern hardware.

    Cons:
No FOV changer, graphics outdated, matchmaking (no server browser), hacking, lag compensation (meaning the game GIVES people lag with fast connection to ''level'' the playing field, small maps. No real professional online competition.

I can't say much about the single player.

This has been covered EVERYWHERE. Go do a google search.

Hundreds of servers up constantly. I use a pretty heavy filter when finding servers and there is always a pretty full server that fulfills everything I want.

My filter is: Hardcore only, Ranked, Punkbuster, Region: United States only, Free Slots: Everything Except Empty, Game mode: Conquest only or Rush only.

Multiplayer is pretty unique to the BF series. I like summing it up like this: there are many different ways to play. Do you love flying helicopters and jets? Do you like sniping people afar? Do you like driving tanks and demolishing buildings completely to rumble? Well Battlefield offers all of that; COD doesn't (except for the snipers :p ).

PTFO is actually very important in BF3. It stands for "Play the ---- Objective". Battlefield is all about teamwork and playing the objective. It's a really fun and rewarding game when you get into a server with a good team that plays for the objective and dominates.

If you can't tell, I say go with Battlefield if your system can handle it. I can't stand COD and how people are willing to give their money up for the same game every year. Finally people are starting to realize this though.

The single player modes of multiplayer oriented FPS games generally aren't amazing, but I would recommend BF3 assuming you are willing to not touch the single player campaign. It was terrible.

BF3 All the way. It's not perfect, but it tries to achieve a lot and is largely successful. Modern warfare 3 literally recycled animations, textures, models, and sounds verbatim (literally copy-paste with no changes) from their previous games. It's a very specific, narrow focus game that tries to achieve one thing but really doesn't do it much better than previous attempts and still suffers from a variety of technical problems that seriously hamper the experience.

You'll be glad you did. BF3 has a lot more gameplay variety and countless strategies which can used online. MW3 is just a rambo run and gun game like every other COD.

I don't know, I am a hardcore MW fan, BUT, I liked the single player of BF3 better, seriously..
