Does anyone know some FPS games that have good music, like music that matches what's happening in the game.

Like maybe when your about to have to kill something there would be some metal playing or something.

I don't mind how old the game is, just as long as it's a FPS with good music.

Quake 2, Unreal Tournament...old stuff but really awesome :D

Edit: And I almost forgot.....Serious Sam Second Encounter! When you enter in a serious melee with A LOT of bad guys a great metal music starts playing and Sam is screaming WAAAAAAAAAAAR from time to time while killing in hundreds :D

Well in my opinion, soundtracks of Halo 2 (such as Blow me Away in the stage where Master Chief gets to the mausoleum of the Arbiter) is pretty awesome while I'm gaming.

One of hte best things to do is just listen to your own music with the game.

Aah, any FPS is good when backed-up by your own soundtrack of choosing.

Crysis warhead to Vivaldi anyone? Or how about Doom 3 to Samuel Barber? Or even better yet, Vietcong actually set to Wagner for authentic Apocalypse Now! nostalgia.

I agree but it's better when the music is matched with what’s happening on the screen.

That's a tough one... I'm usually so in the game that I do not pay attention to the music. Or for better words: I know the music is there and has a big part in the action but I do not listen to it separately.

I've always found that Crysis Warhead had a fun soundtrack. The menu music and "Airfield Hero" are my favorites.

Quake 1 had the best soundtrack imo, made by Trent Reznor (NiN), going to see them/him this wednesday ;)

oh and if you want an evolving soundtrack you can always take Rez out for a spin, eventho it's an on rails shooter in the style of panzer dragoon
but without the dragons and biomechanics ;)

Same here. It usually adds to the environment, but I don't specificially say "hey, that's a sweet tune".

Can't believe no one mentioned the original Painkiller. That game was awesome and the combat music made it that much better.
