Does anyone know some FPS games that have good music, like music that matches what's happening in the game.
Like maybe when your about to have to kill something there would be some metal playing or something.
I don't mind how old the game is, just as long as it's a FPS with good music.

cod4 in arcade mode has some pretty cool music. I cant really think of anything else right now
-
Quake 2, Unreal Tournament...old stuff but really awesome
Edit: And I almost forgot.....Serious Sam Second Encounter! When you enter in a serious melee with A LOT of bad guys a great metal music starts playing and Sam is screaming WAAAAAAAAAAAR from time to time while killing in hundreds -
Howitzer225 Death Company Dreadnought
Well in my opinion, soundtracks of Halo 2 (such as Blow me Away in the stage where Master Chief gets to the mausoleum of the Arbiter) is pretty awesome while I'm gaming.

thanks for all the replies, I'll definatly play those. +rep to you three.

One of hte best things to do is just listen to your own music with the game.
-
Aah, any FPS is good when backed-up by your own soundtrack of choosing.
Crysis warhead to Vivaldi anyone? Or how about Doom 3 to Samuel Barber? Or even better yet, Vietcong actually set to Wagner for authentic Apocalypse Now! nostalgia. -

No One Lives Forever 1 and 2 have pretty great 60's spy music to back up pretty great 60's spy games.

Bioshock. Come on! Have you heard Cohen's Scherzo n7?

It's a to play, though. It's daunting just reading the sheet music >_< -
That's a tough one... I'm usually so in the game that I do not pay attention to the music. Or for better words: I know the music is there and has a big part in the action but I do not listen to it separately.

+1 For the Halo Series, that always gets me pumped up.

I've always found that Crysis Warhead had a fun soundtrack. The menu music and "Airfield Hero" are my favorites.
-
Well,It's not a fps but Enter the matrix has some very nice music.
-
Quake 1 had the best soundtrack imo, made by Trent Reznor (NiN), going to see them/him this wednesday
oh and if you want an evolving soundtrack you can always take Rez out for a spin, eventho it's an on rails shooter in the style of panzer dragoon
but without the dragons and biomechanics -

Can't believe no one mentioned the original Painkiller. That game was awesome and the combat music made it that much better.
