I have an Acer 5920 with 8600gt. Have 169.04 driver. I was playing Wow, I would be around 70-80 fps in the beginning. As I play a bit, it would start decreasing to around 30-40 fps...As my fps decrease, my sound starts to crack and distort too. I have turned v-sync off, as someone already suggested to me. And it still decreases as I played...

    Can some one please help?

Sounds like you're throttling, have you checked both the CPU and GPU temps and settings?

Yes, I do think that the upper left corner of my laptop gets really hot. How should I fix this?

Dumb question, but you do play on something like a table, right? (i.e. not on a soft surface that blocks airflow under the laptop)

I am sorry for not being an expert like you. Why didn't you give me an answer if it was such a "dumb" question? Geeze, I see a lot of people asking questions that has been answered everyday, I don't see you calling those "dumb questions"

Anyways, I play with a cooling pad on the bottom of my laptop, ixoft thermotake. I am not sure if the cooling pad helped.

Dumb question. Check actual temps and clean out your laptop if needed.
